FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
DALLAS, Texas – Accor North America announces that Olivier Poirot, chief executive officer of Accor North America (ANA), Motel 6 and Studio 6, will continue to serve as the company’s CEO in Dallas, Texas. Poirot was appointed chief financial officer of Accor Hospitality in December of 2009, and over the last four months, has helped to lead the process of Accor Hospitality’s transformation plan and demerger alongside Gilles Pélisson, CEO of Accor.
For personal and family reasons, Poirot has decided to remain in Dallas and continue his leadership of Accor North America. Since his appointment as CEO of ANA, Motel 6 and Studio 6 in September of 2007, Poirot has significantly improved brand consistency and increased market share of Motel 6 brand, leading to a record number of franchised hotels openings in 2008 and 2009. Most recently, Poirot has led the brand’s rollout of its ambitious renovation project with the introduction of the award-winning “Phoenix” prototype design, setting a new standard for the economy lodging segment.
Sophie Stabile has been appointed chief financial officer of Accor Hospitality, succeeding Poirot. Stabile began her career with Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, before joining Accor in 1999 to head the consolidation and financial reporting departments.
